The Labotek Bottle-2-Bottle solution combines continuous crystallizing, drying and material handling to support stable material quality, reduced energy consumption and consistent production.
Direct flake-to-production process
Use post-consumer PET flakes directly in production and reduce the need for intermediate re-compounding and pelletizing. Fewer process steps can help reduce material handling, energy consumption and operating costs while simplifying the recycling process.
Consistent material quality
Amorphous PET is continuously crystallized and dried under controlled temperature and airflow conditions. This helps achieve the crystallinity, moisture level and heat resistance required for reliable processing and consistent end-product quality.
Continuous and reliable operation
Automatic material feeding and continuous processing support a stable material flow to the production line. The robust system is engineered for long-term performance and capacities of up to 750 kg/h, depending on material properties and configuration.
Flexible applications
The Bottle-2-Bottle solution can process PET waste streams such as:
- Bottles and other PET packaging
- Start-up scrap and purge waste
- By-products and discarded mouldings
- Reserve stock no longer suitable for sale
The prepared material can be used for applications including PET sheet and profile extrusion, extrusion blow moulding and injection moulding of preforms.
Working principle
- PET flakes are continuously conveyed into the crystallizing system.
- Controlled heat and material movement transform amorphous PET into a stable crystalline form.
- The crystallized material is dried to achieve the required moisture level for processing.
- Optimized airflow and temperature control support consistent results and energy-efficient operation.
