Purchase Executive
Labotek is looking for a new purchaser to be a part of our dynamic Team. You ARE a skilled purchaser who loves challenges, is motivated by decision-making competence, development opportunities and is highly result-oriented. Job Position: Purchase Executive – Plastics Processing Materials

Qualifications & Experience: 
BE/B.Tech Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics with 1 to 2 Years experience in production / maintenance in the plastics processing industry.

Or

B.Comm/MBA with 3 to 4 Years experience in sales & marketing or logistics & material management in the plastics processing industry.

Desirable Qualities: 
1. Result oriented, dynamic team member capable of quick, tactical decision making.
2. Skilled negotiator, able to pick and choose required products at an optimum price with well-established supply chain credentials.
3. Sound common sense & excellent communication skills - should be able to express his thoughts clearly both in talking and writing.
4. In-depth knowledge of Government regulations that affect materials, customers, excise, price control etc.
5. Awareness of Quality Specifications & Standards.
6. Adequate knowledge of materials and tools in addition to technical knowledge of engineering, material testing and QA procedures
7. Must possess good relationship building and management skills in addition to organizational capability.

Job Description: 
1. Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of procurement of components and sub-assemblies from various vendors in the market/industry.
2. Be updated about product costing of new products, as well as current products. Share important data with the management for preprocessed approvals.
3. Should be well versed with basic office software such as MS Office. Will be responsible for maintenance of all purchase records in SAP CRM. Ability to work in a standard automated ERP environment to monitor the inventory of critical items.
4. Work in close coordination with suppliers to be able source materials in required quantities, at optimum prices, within the ideal time frame.
5. Sourcing stock from new suppliers to optimize cost without compromising on quality. Identify and develop potential vendors/suppliers for achieving cost-effective purchases of material.
6. Ensure that procurement of goods, materials and services are performed according to the company policy and commodity strategy, taking into account price, payment terms, quality and delivery terms.
7. Ensure that all the Purchase Orders / Work Orders are raised are within the approved Budget and follow the due process of approval for over budgeting in case of time, delivery or supply constraints.
8. Maintain the laid down scheduled lead time for material procurement. Work in close coordination with stores in charge and keep track of critical inventory levels of all important parts and sub-assemblies.
9. Should be able to assess and verify Industry-level QA certifications and frame specifications of products accordingly. Also must be able to ascertain back to back warranties of all critical parts being sourced.

Expected Work Profile: 
The selected candidate will be required to independently handle daily operational tasks like daily procurement, product disposition, strategic procurement planning, inventory monitoring, etc. The individual shall be responsible for maintaining close contact with local and foreign suppliers and should be able to source required material at optimum time at a favourable price. He / She will work in collaboration with the Senior Purchaser, to order goods, follow up on the purchase orders and the associated administrative tasks like sampling, testing, etc. These are currently mostly done at the operational level, but in the long run, the individual will need to take on strategic procurement tasks as well. The candidate shall report to The Senior Purchaser and the MD.
