DFD

Outlet temperature too high

If drying temperature raises above setpoint (80C°), a warning appears. If the drying temperature raises above the 2nd setpoint (85C°), an alarm appears and the dry air blower stops.
  1. Regeneration time is too long.
  2. Not sufficient water flow in the return air cooler.
  3. Valve position.
  4. Stuck contact for regen heating elements.
  1. See actions of alarm: REG. TIME 1 IS TOO LONG.
  2. Check if there is a sufficient water flow coming in and going out of the return air cooler.
  3. Test solenoid valves by measuring the coils.
  4. Refer to the valve position.
  5. Check relay.
Alarm

DFD / Optional alarm

Filter blocked

If the pressure on each side of the filter is different, a warning appears, indicating the filter is blocked.
  1. The return air filter is blocked.
  2. The return air filter has been in production for more than 6 months.
  1. Clean Return air filter.
  2. Replace Return air filter.
Warning

DFD / Optional alarm

Change-over valve

Change-over valves have feedback if any of the valves are in the wrong position, then the expected alarm appears and stops the machine.
  1. Air leakage in the pressurized airlines.
  2. One or more Sliding valves 1, 2, 3, 4 and (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) are blocked.
  3. One or more solenoid valves are defects.
  1. Check for air leakages and repair.
  2. Test sliding valves (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) with pressurized air.
  3. Test the function of the valve.
Alarm

DFD

Regeneration time 1 is too long

If the regeneration time is longer than 60 min. on molecular sieve 1, a warning appears.
  1. Regeneration filter is blocked.
  2. Regeneration filter has been in production for more than 6 months.
  3. One or more heating elements are defective, setpoint depending.
  4. Not sufficient water flow or water temperature in the regeneration air cooler.
  5. Material flow in the hopper is too high.
  6. Leakages in pipes/hoses.
  1. Clean regenaration filter.
  2. Replace regeneration filter.
  3. Check the current for each heating element.
  4. Check if there is a sufficient water flow coming in and going out of the regeneration air cooler.
  5. Check moisture level in the material.
  6. Check pipes and hoses for leakages.
Warning

DFD

Regeneration time 2 is too long

If the regeneration time is longer than 60 min. on molecular sieve 2, a warning appears. See alarm: REG.TIME 1 IS TOO LONG. See alarm: REG. TIME 1 IS TOO LONG. Warning

DFD

Phase order incorrect / Reg / Dry motor

If the phase order is incorrect or the motor relay is off, an alarm appears and the machine stops. Phase order incorrect. Check phase direction and correct. Alarm

DFD / Optional alarm

Regeneration valve wrong position

The regeneration valve has feedback if the valve is in the wrong position, then the expected alarm appears and stops the machine. See alarm: CHANGE-OVER VALVE. See alarm: CHANGE-OVER VALVE. Alarm

DFD / Optional alarm

Filter Lid open

A switch is mounted at the filter lid, if the switch is not activated, an alarm appears and the dry air motor stops. The filter lid is open.
  1. Close lid.
  2. Measure switch contacts.
Alarm

DFD

Low Air pressure

If the Air pressure is below the setpoint (5 Bar), an alarm appears and the machine stops.
  1. Air pressure too low.
  2. Leaking air pipes.
  3. Leaking Valves.
  4. Internal pressostat set to low.
  5. Airflow too low.
  1. Check the air supply of the machine.
  2. Check leaking air pipes.
  3. Check valves for leaking when they are activated.
  4. Adjust internal pressostat to 5 Bar (see electrical drawings).
Alarm

DFD

Fire protection

If the fire protection is triggered, an alarm appears and the machine stops.
  1. The regeneration blower is not running.
  2. See alarm: REG. TIME 1 IS TOO LONG.
  1. Check if the regeneration blower is running.
  2. Check if the regeneration breaker is OK and the relay is active.
  3. Check the contactor is jammed.
  4. Reset the fire safety alarm by turning it on and off the machine.
  5. See alarm: REG. TIME 1 IS TOO LONG.
Alarm

DFD / Optional alarm

High-temperature return air

If there is an attached return air cooler, there is a max return air temperature setpoint, and if the temperature goes above that, a warning appears.
  1. Cooling water is too hot.
  2. The water valve is malfunctioning.
  3. Setpoint too low
  1. Check cooling water temperature.
  2. Check if the water valve is opening and closing (see electrical drawings).
  3. Change return air setpoints in the Service menu.
Warning

DFD / Optional alarm

High-temperature forward air

If there is an attached forward air cooler, there is a max forward air temperature setpoint, and if the temperature goes above that, an alarm appears and stops the dry air motor.
  1. Cooling water is too hot.
  2. The water valve is malfunctioning.
  3. Setpoint too low
  1. Check cooling water temperature.
  2. Check if the water valve is opening and closing (see electrical drawings).
  3. Change return air setpoints in the Service menu.
Alarm

DFD

Temperature regeneration 1

If the regeneration time is longer than 75 min. on molecular sieve 1, a warning appears. See alarm: REG.TIME 1 IS TOO LONG. See alarm: REG. TIME 1 IS TOO LONG. Warning

Service needed

The machine needs service after 999 running hours and a warning appears. Informative message - service is recommended. Service the machine. Warning

DFD

PLC Error

PLC error indicates there is an error either inside the PLC or on the hardware which is attached to the PLC.
  1. Missing hardware components.
  2. Analogue input module missing sensor input.
  1. Check if the attached hardware components are blinking red, if they do, check if the components are connected correctly.
  2. Check wiring for sensors attached to the analogue/RTD module.
  3. Please contact Labotek Service department.
